Structural Landscaping
Structural Landscaping is work involved in the construction of external landscape features, and non-habitable structures (structures you cannot live in) including:
Retaining walls of any material that do not form part of a habitable building
Fencing, driveways, paths and other paving of any material
Cabanas, pergolas, decks and non-habitable shelters (sheds etc)
Lawn (turf) Laying
Lawn (turf) laying is the process of installing grass roles (strips of approximately 1sqm) onto a site which has been prepared for receipt of new turf including:
Remove any existing vegetation and check if existing soil is suitable or needs improving. For clay soils add gypsum; sandy soils add organic material; acid soils add lime and alkaline soils add sulphur.
Spread Turf underlay, which is a particular blend of topsoil and organic materials, blended to give your new lawn the optimum balance of nutrients and minerals it needs for the roots to establish well. This is also the best time to check levels to ensure the desired fall for drainage.
Apply a starter fertiliser. This will encourage deeper root growth and really support your lawn in the establishment phase.
Place the turf rolls and where required use a roller to flatten the turf to ensure good root contact with the soil.
Water as soon as possible. If we are laying a large lawn, we try and water as we go - especially on a hot day.
Garden Maintenance
General garden maintenance includes planting, lawn mowing and restoration, tree pruning, hedge trimming, weeding, sweeping, path cleaning, rubbish removal and other services to help your front and back gardens flourish.
We can do this as a one off service or as a regular scheduled service.
Fencing
Fencing includes repairs to or putting up new fences and gates within or on residential property boundary lines.
Excavating
Excavating includes removing earth or rock down to a previously decided level or excavation line, to form a hole or trench for structural supports or for structural landscaping work. It also includes bringing earth or rock (fill) on to a site to raise the level of the land to a pre-determined level.
